Thursday 29th Mar 2012 Light Pollution ?
Plans are underway to save hundreds of thousands of pounds in Derbyshire and else where by turning off street lights in low 'risk' areas. I hope these types of common sense savings help offset the ever increasing costs of services !
View from Eccles Pike looking along the A6 from the Chapel en le Frith Bypass as it snakes its way into Disley, High Lane and on to Stockport.
Quite a few lights I am sure you will agree - see if you can spot the stars abave.

Thursday 29th Mar 2012 New Product Added by Look Creations
How about saving on the chocolate eggs this easter and making a gift that will last more then 10 minutes ? After making a couple of wooden puzzels for my two kids and seeing it keep them occupied for best part of an hour as they both tried to finish it first, I thought what a good idea for an Easter present.
The puzzels are each unique, supplie din a small cotten pouch and ideal for 'killing time' whithout iphones bleebing, xbox overheating or any of the other modern essentials we surround ourselves with.
Have a great Easter Break and try not to eat all the chocolate !

Thursday 8th Mar 2012 Time Lapse Sequence of High Peak NightFall
I have been learning how to capture and more importantly post process time lapse sequences - this is where you capture an image repeatedly over a prolonged period - in this case about 90 minutes and 440 images - you then compile the images and play them back at approx 15 frames per second.
The view (not a great composition :-( ) is over Whaley Bridge toward Ecclespike and the National Park in the distance). Once I get the technicalities sorted I will work on the creative element. I hope you like it - please let me know your thoughts - tweets welcome.

Thursday 8th Mar 2012 Sheep to Chic
A masterclass in feltmaking. A breif note from Linda Moss of Sheep to Chic
"I’ve recently had the opportunity (thanks to the Peak District National Park’s financial support) to polish my feltmaking skills with a 2-day individual masterclass with leading feltmaker Sheila Smith. She showed me lots of time-saving techniques, including the use of an electric palm sander, to speed up my feltmaking, and introduced me to complex Japanese methods of introducing 3-d effects into felt. These are quite time-consuming to do, but will produce some unusual and unique results: see pictures!
