Glass at the Barn
"The colours in nature inspire me. The iridescent colour of a dragonfly in flight, the magnificent plumage of a peacock in full display. the natural array of colours in a floral garden, in full bloom. Colours are meant to catch the eye.

Colours are meant to catch the eye. I wish to capture in my work. Glass is an ideal medium to work with to express nature, starting off in one form and through the influence of outside forces, changes shape to become something totally different, like the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into a butterfly".
I have been working with glass now for 8 years initially a hobby that gradually took over, working from my garage studio in Alsageer whilst studying and working as a scientist. When offered redundancy I took it as the opportunity to follow my dream and I have been working from my converted Barn studio / workshop in the picturesque Peak District village of Tissington.
