Chesterfield Market Event

Saturday 2nd Jun 2012

Dear Peak Producer/Creator,

I recently met with the Manager of the Vicar Lane Shopping Centre in Chesterfield and they are very keen to help you promote your business and are offering a FREE market pitch on Saturday 2 June and Saturday 27 October. This is a great opportunity for you to spread your wings and try somewhere different and with an average Saturday footfall of 33,000 people, I’m sure you’ll agree it is well worth promoting local Peak District produce and crafts to a nearby urban centre. The idea is to showcase as many different Peak District food & drink products/crafts as possible so please check your diaries and give it a go!

The exact outdoor location (if you know Chesterfield is opposite HMV store, on the perimeter of St James’ Place). There is also a covered pathway which leads to the car park and toilets (therefore lots of footfall) for those who have fragile stock. We would be looking to have around 10 stalls and these will be allocated on a first come first booked basis. Interested?

What you will need:

  • your own stall/table and cover (It is on hard stone pathways so consider how you’d anchor covers etc.)
  • There are very limited power point supplies (allocated on a first come first booked basis) so if you need power and you have your own generator that would be helpful
  • Public Liability Insurance and adherence to the usual H&S, Trading Standard regs as with any other market

If you would be interested in having a FREE pitch or a place for a refrigerated unit, please let me know in the first instance (by return email) and then I’ll forward information to Sonia (Centre Manager) and Amanda Thomas (Centre Administrator) who will send you the relevant booking paperwork to complete and return.

If you have any queries do email or give me a ring!

Let’s celebrate the Peak District & promote ourselves to the people of Chesterfield!!
