Live & Work Rural would like to invite you to our next networking event with a focus on using marketing and technology more effectively in your business.

The morning will include presentations from experts in this field, to be followed by a ‘Question Time’ style session when you will have the opportunity to quiz our speakers on these subjects as well as other marketing and technology related issues.

Where?            - The Assembly Room, Town Hall, Bakewell

When?             - Thursday 14th July from 9:30am -1:30pm

 The day will include -  

  • A presentation by Catherine Doel and Chris Woodhouse which will focus on the mindset and toolset to use to create a more marketing-led organisation.  They will showcase ways that real businesses are meeting the marketing challenges that they face, explain some of the many techniques and applications that are widely available as well as providing examples of how Cloud technology is being used at the heart of a modern business.


About Catherine Doel: Catherine has 20 years marketing communications experience working now as a marketing consultant/trainer and as account director of the marketing and design agency, Henmore Marketing. Catherine helps local business owner-managers by facilitating Marketing Club in Derbyshire, a business development support group, and running workshops and seminars.


About Chris Woodhouse: Chris is an event facilator helping senior management teams develop new strategies by facilitating workshops that form part of change programmes.  His career has kept him at the forefront of technology having been a senior IS/IT specialist and he now works with clients in the technology sector


  • ‘Live & Work Rural Question Time’ – Catherine and Chris will be joined on the panel by Paul Cox of (Paul, who has 13 years experience of running his own business, has set up SpinLessPlates to provide easy to use online software for small businesses offering a complete, integrated package).  This session will be your chance to quiz the panel about how you can benefit from a greater focus on marketing and technology, what approach would be best for your business and to get advice on any problems you may have encountered.
